General Care and Cleaning
A bamboo sink is best cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. An alternative mixture of one ounce of white vinegar to one quart of water can also be used for daily cleaning.
Water Spots
After each use, be sure to wipe excess water from the basin with a clean, soft cloth. This will help eliminate the risk of water spots and residue buildup. Wash bamboo sinks with mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge if residue should occur.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Ammonia-based cleaning products can soften the finish of bamboo sinks and so should be avoided or used minimally. Nail polish remover, bleach, ammonia and similarly harsh chemicals should be totally avoided because they will cause significant damage to bamboo.
Bamboo sinks are made from stalks collected from various farms. Each stalk has its own coloring and is randomly combined with others to form a pattern unique to each sink.
